A peaceful escape into the mountains of Yeongju, where I visited Buseoksa Temple, surrounded by misty forests and traditional hanok architecture. The rainy weather made the whole place feel calm and almost cinematic. I also explored Sosu Seowon, one of Korea’s oldest Confucian academies, which gave a deeper look into Korean history and philosophy. It felt quiet, thoughtful, and very different from the fast pace of city life. One of the highlights was a hands-on ginger alcohol-making masterclass, where I learned traditional methods and made my own bottle.
