My few days at Beomeosa Temple Stay in Busan became more than just a getaway—they felt like a gentle return to myself. Far from the constant rhythm of daily life, I traded notifications for birdsong, busy schedules for quiet moments, and endless thoughts for the simple act of being. The days unfolded slowly: reading beneath ancient trees, meditating in the stillness of the temple, hiking through the surrounding mountains, and letting nature set the pace. One of the things I loved most is how accessible it is. The temple is just a short walk from the bus stop, making this peaceful sanctuary surprisingly easy to reach. Yet the moment you arrive, the outside world seems to disappear. Nestled at the foot of Geumjeongsan—the highest mountain in Busan—the temple is the perfect starting point for a beautiful hike. The trail is gentle enough for most walkers, leading past the centuries-old fortress walls, peaceful forest paths, and a crystal-clear stream that quietly accompanies you along the way. Some journeys are about discovering new places. Others are about rediscovering yourself. A temple stay at Beomeosa offers both. It is one of those rare experiences that reminds you that rest isn't something you have to earn—sometimes, all you need to do is step into nature, slow your breath, and listen to the silence.
